It's important that the Muslim community is made aware of what is going in the world of health, and vice versa. Also, how many of us have thought about the prohibition against eating swine? The flesh of pig was deemed haram for Muslims for a good reason. Wikipedia all of the diseases and illnesses that have "jumped" (trans-species) from pigs to humans and it makes sense why this creature would not be fit for consumption. I think this is a good idea!
